This spot is good! Fair pricing, considerable dishes and the employees are regularly very kind.
Great food in a no frills atmosphere. We stop everytime we past through from the Frederick MD area. Best BBQ you will eat.
Good food. Reasonable prices. Not my favorite stop but by far not the worst place I've been.
Always stop here a few times a week great pork sandwich and apple crisp.
The best BBQ I've ever eaten was in a roofless wooden shack just outside of Dallas, serving ribs and pulled pork, brisket and chorizos, fried okra and cornbread, and more. It's a long way from Virginia to Dallas.Fortunately, the second best BBQ I've eaten is about a six minute drive away, at a truck stop down the Seminole trail. If you like BBQ, and you get a chance to stop by, you definitely should. It's not fine dining, but it's definitely good eating.I have half my meal left, and if I wasn't full, it might not last too long. Other reviews I've read have pointed out the location, decor, and atmosphere of the truck stop, and if you drive past, it might not be a place you'd consider stopping at. If you like ribs or pulled pork though, that would be a mistake.
We came to this spot for lunch. my friend recommended this restaurant. Well, it was very successful. The staff members were extremely nice and we had a great feeling. The meal was fresh and delicious. We loved this place a lot and we shall absolutely come back again. Highly recommended.
Spicy was perfect for me, flavorful but not too hot. Definitely more of a truck stop, looks like they are expanding. We each had pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. Delicious. Bathrooms were horrible though. That’s the only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars.
Ok BBQ. Conveniently located right off highway. Dated but clean. Pork ribs were not seasoned for some strange reason, had to dip them is sauce to eat, but had nice texture and smoky flavor. Chicken was better, but nothing to write home about. Onion rings were best part of the meal. Friendly and quick service.
Hall of Fame Good greens Perfect ribs I will definitely be back
Never disappointed. Great food.
Ribs were tough but the rest was good.
Fantastic real barbeque. Beef, chicken, pork. All flawless!
I've always driven past this place on my way home from frequent trips to VA. Never stopped here because it looks like a real truck stop dive. This time I was in need of a quick lunch and I love barbecue, which I can't find in the North, at least not done the right way. So I run in not expecting much. Yeah it's a dive and I just ordered two pulled pork sandwiches to go. WOW! Moist, smokey-flavored pork (chopped by the guy just for my sandwich as I watched) on a decent bun. Atmosphere? None to scary. But this is a discovery for hardcore barbecue lovers. Next time this is a planned stop.
Barbecue was good, good quality, decent sized portions, the spicy sauce was pretty good. The 2 stars is for the food, as the service was abysmal. We came in at 8:20 for dinner, and after we ordered, he told us we had 20 minutes to eat and then we had to leave. He was rude, and made snide comments to other who came in after us this place has some great potential if they only had a nicer workforce more focused on customer service
Great little truck stop and bbq with great parking for trucks
Excellent chicken. Best onion rings I've had in several years. Sauce was sweet and spicy. Chicken had that real smoked taste. The place is just down home, no frills. Should make it a regular stop. Probably 4 and 1/2 stars.
BBQ Country is awesome! I had a chopped pork sandwich and I loved it! The bun was soft and fresh and the pork was hot and juicy and I love their mild sauce. Of course the dining room was closed but the place was clean and the staff was friendly
Staff if always very friendly and food is delicious.
Food fantastic. We had bbq chicken, baked beans and my fave collard greens! Shared one meal between 2 adults. Staff really nice and restaurant was very clean Highly recommend this place.
Stopped here on my way back from to Fredericksburg, their pulled pork was pretty good, my family enjoyed the ribs and greens. The portion sizes are good, which I appreciate!!
Food was good, portions were solid for the price. The food was smoked and delicious but a little cool. Kind of a drag when you're looking for a hot meal. I ordered the half smoked chicken and was worth every penny.
I have to check in so I can't forget where this glorious spot is at. Gas Station and BBQ joint frequented by Truckercan Americans. Sauce is bomb, ribs are bomb, chicken is bomb, beans are bomb. This place is totally legit off the beaten path American dream barbecue. Taking home about two thirds of my order cause I am stuffed.
Great food and friendly staff
Great food fair prices generous portions
This is the worst BBQ restaurant in America.
This place is a truck driver dream for good breakfast and Delicious BBQ pork chicken beef
Don't judge a book by its cover. My family stopped here on our way through during a long trip. I got a spicy BBQ chicken sandwich, and it was very good! And the young men behind the counter were very nice. I will stop here again if I happen to be back this way.
Customer service was awesome and the only positive experience! Food was terrible, pork had no flavor but there are 2 BBQ sauces mild and hot and not any better. Baked beans were bland, potato salad had hey acidic vinaigrette flavor. They do not have bread to make a BBQ sandwich!! This is located in a gas station truck stop a typical strip mall BBQ Country atmosphere. Went here because Red Hot & Blue in Warrenton was not open and I was craving there awesome menu.
Great food & friendly service. Bathrooms could use a little work though.
Plenty, fries were good. Service great. Ribs were okay, not very flavorful for our liking. BBQ sauce was extremely acidic/sour. Will order the chicken next time and try that. It might be better.
This is a dive but i love the food and the folks are always friendly. The chicken is my favorite and the hot BBQ is great
I did not plan on picking up food...dipped in to use the restroom BTW It was pleasantly clean and maintained well. Don't judge me but in my travels around the world and have found that if and establishment takes care of their property especially the restroom they usually have a clean safe kitchen. Anyway feeling safe I let my guard down and allowed myself to experience the BBQ aroma that was so enticing that I decided to purchase and try some of BBQ Country headliners...Ribs and Chicken. The service was professional, friendly and receptive. The kind of Hometown Folksy Americana that my family were and are proud to serve. GOD BLESS AMERICA! And the RIBS...smokey...tender...juicy! Delicious!!!Worth the stop!! Support or small business. You want be disappointed! <3
Pretty good smoked barbeque. Nice stop for a big truck.
BBQ with authentic wood smoke flavor. Low and slow. Ribs were very meaty. Do not change a thing.
Looks a little run but like they say don't judge a book by its cover. Was some of the best pork and ribs I have ever eaten. Good coleslaw and potato salad as well. Would definitely go out of my way to go again.
The best BBQ sandwich. Period.
I used to drive by this place and finally stopped because my boyfriend is on a quest to find the best bbq in virginia. the meats were good with sauce amazing! the corn bread, best I've had by far on this quest! the reason I give it 5 stars is because its definitely worth stopping to try. the staff is super friendly. happy queing :-)
Great owners, best pulled pork sandwiches, reasonably priced
Absolutely phenomenal. My wife and I stopped at this place around lunch time, with the intent to only use the restroom and get back on the road. The store that connects to this business is shut down. The area looks questionable. But we decided while stopped, we would go ahead and grab lunch for the road. And are very glad we did. We got a chopped barbecued chicken burger, potato salad and apple crisp for dessert. the food was amazing and the service was awesome. Thank you very much. If the Good Lord sees fit for us to travel that way again. This place will get our business again. GOD BLESS!!
We stopped here as we traveled home from Richmond. The guys who work here are nice and helpful. The place looks like an authentic local bbq place. The food was awesome. Prices pretty good.
Garbage stay far away if you like living I dont even know if the health department knows they open
I got the quarter chicken with the spicy sauce, collard greens, and baked beans. It was delicious. The restaurant is next to Quarles Truck Stop so truck parking is available.
The barbecue was okay I've had better but being that far north it was good for what it was it doesn't beat Sweet Home Grown Georgia barbecue sauce though
Not the best the mac and cheese seems like it's over cooked Kraft the pulled pork is kind of dry with little seasoning the sausage seems old the baked beans were probably the best think on the plate
Thank you so much for feeding Truck Drivers a real meal during this covid19 crisis. The breakfast was awesome, and cooked fresh. Hard to find a meal like this lately, so I appreciate you. Good job.
Huge portions at a fair price. You can eat in or take out if you're in a hurry. Lots of parking for cars and tractor trailers. You can grab some diesel fuel as well. You can park your rig for the night and grab breakfast in the morning.
RESTAURANT NEED SOME REMODELING BUT THE FOOD IS GREATLOVE IT. SMALL FAMILY BUSINESS
I been driving truck over 38 years and been stopping here most of those years. This place has a history of providing the best barbecue East of the Mississippi. I have watched these boy grow up to work in their dads business.
We stopped here not even hungry just needing a restroom while on the road. Smelled the hickory smoke and the BBQ was too much to walk away from. The pulled pork was amazing and I also got half a chicken which may in fact be the best smoked chicken Iver ever had. Bette than my own and I make some damn good chicken and sure enough know my way around a smoker.
BBQ is ok. If you're feeling like BBQ this isn't a bad choice if you're driving by or in the area. Nothing spectacular but meat was cooked nice and sides were ok.
